Dirt Nap Movie Shoot - September 2005

We were invited to participate in a movie shoot at Qualcomm Stadium for Dirt Nap (coming out in March 2007).

We saw the film at the San Diego Film Festival in September, 2006. It was a good movie and we got to talk to the producer and star of the film, DB Sweeney. Ian and I ended up on the cutting room floor, but a few of our friends made the final cut. Maybe we will be revived in the version to be released in March.

Marshall's football team is being portrayed in an upcoming film scheduled to premiere at next year's Sundance Film Festival. "Dirt Nap" pits the Thundering Herd against the Texas Longhorns in the Orange Bowl. The film stars Ed Harris, John McGinley, Paul Hipp and D-B Sweeney. It's about three men in the midst of a mid-life crisis on a road trip from Pittsburgh to Miami to see the fictional game. Sweeney also co-wrote and directed the movie, which is being produced by George Parra. Others in the cast include Moira Kelly, Janet Jones Gretzky, Pat Hingle, John McEnroe and Vanna White.
